I did an Ironman triathlon a number of years ago.
In the months that followed I’d get asked to meet up with people for a coffee. Everyone would ask “What was the key session you did? What was the secret?”
I gave everyone the same reply – “there was no secret”.
The alarm clock goes off at 4.45am. You have a choice. Do I stay in bed, or do I get out of bed? If you get out of bed more days that you stay in bed, you do the training and the race looks after itself.
We each face these choices on a daily basis.
We often think “I’ll do this big thing or achieve this big goal and then everything will be good”.
What if we just focused on doing the small things, every day.
